Top questions for S. Mariah

A christian author from Melbourne, Australia

I actually started writing on faithwriters since 2008 to connect with other christian fellows all over the world. The motivation behind my writing was absolutely because of how God has loved me that He has redeemed and  transformed my life. I was so in awe of His transformation power. I wanted to write about Him and share about His goodness and faithfulness to others.

I have always loved to share about the love and goodness to God - for I have indeed received so much grace and mercy from the Lord. I love to strengthen God's church by offering them hope and encouragement based in the Word of God. I love to study Bible with others. In my writings, I want to strengthen God's church, equip christian fellows to follow closely to the Word of God, to really live out a life that is honouring to the name of Jesus, to stay and walk in God's truth. I believe that will be beneficial for evangelism ultimately. I am also passionate to see all women being strengthened in their 'God-given' identity that they will live in their fullness God intended for them.

I believe in the power of prayer. I love to intercede for people in prayer and seeing the breakthrough in their lives. Over the years, I have witnessed many answered prayers from God - this how I know that My God is alive and He is very active in listening and answering our prayers because He is faithful and good. As His people, we are to cast our cares, we are to remain faithful in our role - praying for one another. God is the one who brings out the result.

I have always felt the burden on doing more talk on 'being humbled' in all that we do for God. "Being humbled" isn't about posture, it is our 'heart' condition and when we truly realised all that we have come only from the Lord and not of us, we will then know the importance of relying on God in our everyday life and only then will we actually walk humbly with our God.

Especially for those who are leaders or pastors in the church, having that 'humility' of heart expressed in our  'reliance on God' is so important if we want to be the example for our christian fellows.
